christmas treesWhether you will use a real or an artificial Christmas tree, still, you will need to decorate it. Decorating Christmas trees is already a practice in most places and this can involve all members of the family. Parents, kids, relatives and anybody in the house can participate. The process does not need to be expensive. Surely, you had been decorating your tree in the past Christmas seasons, and so you can use the same decorations again. All you need to do is to make them appear new once again. Here are some tips on how to recycle your old decorations and to decorate your Christmas tree without spending much.

Cut out pictures from the Christmas cards that you have had the past years. If the picture is coloured, you can just hang them. However, if they are black, you need to colour or paint them with other colours such as silver or gold so that they will look nicer. Afterwards, hang them on the branches of your Christmas tree using a shiny thread or ribbon.

Instead of spending money buying new balls, you can make your own or you can make use of the balls that you had used already. These may seem odd and old, but that would not be a problem because you can make them look new again. Just like the picture, you can coat them will silver or gold paint, or any colour you like. If you do not have such paint, you can make use of glitter. What if you do not have balls? Well, there is an easy way of making Christmas balls. You can make one from Styrofoam or you can just recycle some pieces of paper and then shape them like a ball. Once you are done, paint your ball so that it would not be obvious that they are made from paper or Styrofoam.

Origami figures are also great decorations for Christmas trees. You can make some by using used Christmas wrappers or any coloured paper. No need to buy coloured papers, as old magazines and used gift wrappers will simply do. If you do not have any coloured paper, still, that is not a problem. You can make use of any paper and then colour it afterwards. There are many great designs that you can create. If you do not know one, you can just buy an origami book and surely, you will be able to come up with lots of designs that can surely make your Christmas tree more attractive.

You can also use your talent in cooking to decorate your Christmas trees. Bake some cookies and then hang them. Put each piece inside a plastic bag, decorated with some ribbons to create a beautiful effect. Hang them together with some cane-shaped candies as well as lollipops and the kids will surely enjoy the sight.

So as you can see, it is possible to decorate Christmas trees even without spending that much. Just use your imagination and creativity and surely, you would be able to come up with a uniquely beautiful Christmas tree.
